I googled Angela Maria and found pictures of a Brazilian singer and actress.
Definitely not me!
So, when did you first discover your love for writing?
I’ve loved writing since I was a little girl. I would fill the pages of journals, write short stories, and writing essays for school was never a chore. It has always been easier for me to write my thoughts than to share them out loud. And to bring a story and characters to life on a page has always been thrilling to me.
I had a story bursting inside of me that I knew I needed to get out. It’s a story of overcoming life’s hurdles, of finding your voice again, learning that it’s okay to trust and have faith. If my story can uplift even one person on their own journey, then writing it was more than worth it.
That’s easy, either coffee, or more coffee. Or anything chocolate.
I am definitely a “pantser”. Figuring it out by the seat of my pants. No outline. The thought of outlining my story first makes my hands sweat. When I’m writing, I have no idea what the next chapter will be, what the outcome of the suspense will be, until I actually sit down to write it. But that’s okay, I’m always excited to see what happens next, too!
Just one?! Gone With the Wind would top the list for sure. And it's sequel, Scarlett. And I can’t leave out Pride & Prejudice.
Traveling. I LOVE to travel. It is thrilling getting to experience new cultures and see new places all over the world. Traveling opens your mind in ways nothing else ever could. I’m convinced life was not meant to be lived in only one place.
When not traveling, you’ll find me gardening, hiking, or sitting under a tree enjoying whatever I’m currently reading.
I heard someone say once that “you will never accomplish your dreams by staying in your comfort zone.” I remember my reaction the first time I heard that. ”Ouch”. It’s inspired me to chase my dreams, do the hard things, and put in the work time and time again.
